Hindi varieties and dialects we handle
Standard Hindi (Devanagari script)
The variety taught in formal education and used in most U.S. legal and medical work. Written in Devanagari.
Hindi-Urdu (Hindustani) range
Hindi and Urdu are mutually intelligible in everyday speech but use different scripts (Devanagari vs. Perso-Arabic) and draw vocabulary from different literary registers (Sanskrit vs. Persian/Arabic). For court interpretation, the spoken language is largely shared; for translation, source script matters.
Regional dialects
Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Maithili, and other regional varieties exist. Less common in U.S. legal-medical proceedings; standard Hindi is the working register.
