For Interpreters

Work with a team that respects the craft.

AMS has been matching certified interpreters and translators to legal, medical, and government work since 1999. We are selective about who we bring on, and once you are in the network, we work hard to keep you busy with assignments you will be glad to take.

Why interpreters and translators choose AMS

Steady, varied work

Depositions, IMEs, hearings, medical appointments, document translation. Variety across legal, healthcare, and corporate matters from established clients.

Scheduling support

Our scheduling team handles confirmations, logistics, and client communication so you can focus on the work.

Clean, predictable invoicing

On-time payment, itemized invoicing, and clear billing protocols. No chasing.

Reputation that earns repeat work

AMS clients include AmLaw 100 firms, the U.S. Department of Justice, the California Attorney General, and Fortune 500 companies. Doing good work here means more work tomorrow.

Who we look for

We work in legal, medical, and government settings where certification and subject-matter experience matter. We are actively building our roster across:

  • Court-certified or registered interpreters (state and federal)
  • Medically-trained interpreters (CCHI, NBCMI, or equivalent training)
  • RID-certified ASL interpreters
  • Mexican Sign Language interpreters
  • Certified document translators with subject-matter depth (legal, medical, pharmaceutical, technical)
  • Audio and video transcriptionists for evidentiary recordings
  • Linguists in rare and indigenous languages: Mixteco, Zapoteco, Triqui, Mam, Hmong, Karen, Marshallese, Chuukese, Tigrinya, and more
Referral Program

Know a great interpreter or translator?

The interpreter community is small. Most of our best linguists came through referrals from people we already trust. If you know a certified interpreter or translator who would be a fit for the AMS network, send them our way, or email us their information and we will follow up.
