How AMS Autofill works

Our forms ask for the same contact details every time. Autofill remembers those answers from your last submission and enters them for you on your next visit, so you only complete what is new.

Using AMS Autofill

  1. Check the switch

The order form and the end time and invoice form each have an autofill switch at the top. If you would like to use the feature, make sure it is switched on before you submit.

  2. Fill in the form once

Complete and submit the form the way you normally would. Nothing extra is required from you, and the form behaves exactly as it did before.

  3. Come back to a filled form

The next time you open that form on the same device, your contact details are already there. Confirm they are still correct, add the details for the new job, and submit.

What is remembered, and what is not

Autofill is limited to the details that stay the same from one request to the next. Everything tied to a particular job is left blank for you to complete each time.

Filled in for you

  • Your name
  • Your company or firm
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your address, including city, state, and ZIP code

Never saved

  • Case names, claim numbers, and party names
  • Appointment dates, times, and durations
  • Assignment locations
  • Languages, service types, and special instructions
  • Invoice amounts, expenses, and uploaded files

What happens behind the scenes

When you submit a form with autofill on, a reference code is attached to your submission. Your own browser generates that code at random, it is unique to your browser, and it contains nothing about you. It is not shown on the form, and it does not appear in your confirmation email.

The form itself is delivered by our forms provider inside a secure frame, and the page around it cannot read what you type. Nothing is captured while you fill it in. Once you submit, your reference code is what lets the site find your own most recent submission and copy the reusable answers out of it. Your browser then keeps that copy, so every later visit fills straight away.

The copy is held in two places on your device: your browser storage, and a cookie set by our server that lasts a year. Some browsers clear script-written storage for sites you have not opened in a while, and the cookie is not affected by that, which is why autofill keeps working over long gaps between jobs.

There is no account to create, no password to remember, and nothing to set up. The switch on the form is the whole of it.

How your information is protected

It stays on your own device

Your saved details are held by the browser on the device you used. Anyone opening the same form on another computer or phone gets an empty form.

The reference code means nothing on its own

The code attached to your submission is a long random string. It holds no name, no email address, and nothing that identifies you, and it is only ever matched against your own submissions.

Nothing new is collected

Every detail autofill enters is one you already typed into one of our forms and sent to us. It repeats your own answers rather than gathering anything further.

Job details never carry over

Only the fixed contact fields listed above are remembered, so details from an earlier assignment cannot appear on a new request.

Traffic is encrypted

This website and the forms on it run over an encrypted connection, exactly as they do when you submit a form without autofill.

You stay in control

You can switch autofill off, or delete your saved details from your device, at any time and without contacting us.

Turning it off, and clearing your details

To stop using it, switch autofill off at the top of the form. We will ask you to confirm first, because switching it off also clears the details currently in the form. From that point on nothing is filled in for you and no reference code is attached to anything you send. Your details are kept, so switching it back on restores them.

To delete your details, use the option to clear your autofilled details from your device, which appears on the form once there is something saved. That removes your contact details from the browser and replaces the reference code, so your earlier submissions can no longer be found from this device. It cannot be undone, and it does not affect forms you have already sent us, which we keep as part of your file in the ordinary way.

On a shared or public computer we recommend leaving autofill off. Clearing your browsing data or using a private browsing window also removes the saved details.
